Luxury Medical Pedicure with Warm Wax Therapy

Treat yourself to a soothing Medical Pedicure. This specialised pedicure enhances your regular treatment, perfect for those seeking a more deluxe footcare session and for individuals needing a comprehensive foot treatment beyond what a typical beauty salon can provide.
My medical pedicure is a thorough overhaul of your feet and combines all elements of my Foot Health services with the safe removal of corns, calluses, hard and dry skin.
No matter your gender or age, medical pedicures offer more than just simple cosmetic nail care and polish. If you are often on your feet, wear uncomfortable shoes, participate in sports, or have medical issues like arthritis, receiving this treatment can be extremely advantageous. Moreover, men looking to preserve foot health might feel uneasy about going to a nail salon, so opting for treatments at home could be a better choice.
What happens during a medical pedicure?
Before starting the treatment, I will first assess the condition of the feet and take a full medical history.
The appointment lasts between around 90 minutes (in the comfort of your own home) and includes:
Gentle exfoliation
Thorough treatment of any callus and corns
Nails cut, filed and reduced if thickened.
Luxury warm wax therapy to hydrate dry skin (see below)
Relaxing foot massage
Application of your choice of nail polish, with
Dr.’s Remedy nail varnishes which are free from harsh chemicals, vegan friendly, organic and not tested on animals.
Please note that the nail varnish brushes and wax are all single use to ensure our excellent standards of hygiene are upheld.
Warm Wax Treatment
Paraffin wax heat therapy enhances blood circulation, improves pain tolerance, soothes muscles, and boosts skin hydration.
Designed to hydrate and soften the skin while offering a therapeutic and healing impact on painful and achy joints. This makes it especially advantageous for individuals dealing with arthritis and rheumatic discomfort.
Conditions that benefit from warm wax therapy include:
Chilblains
Arthritis
Bursitis
Eczema and psoriasis
Sore muscles
Stiff joints
Scar tissue
Inflammation
Muscle spasm
Tendonitis
Sports injury
Bad circulation
How Heat Helps
Despite being a straightforward treatment method, heat therapy is remarkably clever in how it alleviates pain and muscle tightness. By targeting sore body areas, heat therapy promotes the dilation of blood vessels. This stimulation leads to increased blood flow to the affected region, expelling toxins and waste products. Moreover, the enhanced blood circulation delivers oxygen to the area, aiding in the restoration of soft tissue, promoting muscle tone, and reducing muscle contractions.
Heat therapy can reduce the intensity of pain symptoms, even though the exact reasons are not fully understood. The belief is that heat might have a numbing effect on the nerve endings in your body, resulting in a reduction of pain sensations.
Paraffin wax treatments are NOT SUITABLE for Diabetics, varicose veins or abnormalities , vascular disorders, broken or open skin wounds.
